Agreement and scope
These terms apply when you use OneBeat, a music-recognition arcade game. By using OneBeat, you agree to follow these rules and any store or third-party terms that apply to the services you connect. OneBeat may provide additional feature-specific rules in the app.
Spotify, authentication, advertising, hosting, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play and app distribution are separate services. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to their services. OneBeat does not receive your Spotify password or payment-card details.
The service
OneBeat provides timed music-recognition rounds, category and shuffle play, progression, leaderboards and related account features. Content, playlists, scoring rules, rewards and availability may change as the game is operated, tested or updated.
In-app purchases and gems
Native iOS and Android builds offer consumable gem packs through the RevenueCat gems offering and the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play purchase flow. The current catalog is 100, 500 or 1,200 gems; the store displays the applicable local price, currency, taxes and purchase confirmation. The web build does not process store purchases.
- A purchase requires a signed-in OneBeat account. RevenueCat uses the authenticated Clerk user ID as its app user ID so the trusted event can be associated with the correct OneBeat profile.
- Gems are virtual, consumable, non-transferable game currency. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money. They can be spent on the disclosed in-game hints or permanent mix unlocks; using a hint can reduce the score available for that run.
- Purchased gems do not expire. A store-approved refund, revocation or chargeback is a balance correction, not an expiration policy.
- A tap on a purchase button, a pending transaction, a failed or cancelled checkout, or a client-side success callback does not grant gems. Convex credits the balance only after the trusted RevenueCat virtual-currency webhook is accepted and both event and virtual-transaction replay checks pass.
- Store, RevenueCat or network delays can make a completed purchase appear before the balance updates. Do not buy the pack again while delivery is being reconciled.
- Apple and Google control the checkout and refund decision. A refund, revocation or chargeback may cause OneBeat to apply a negative server-ledger correction. If the purchased gems were already spent, the profile balance may temporarily go below zero; OneBeat does not promise a refund outside the applicable store process.
Current gem packs are consumable and are not restored by Apple's restore-purchases flow. If a completed purchase is missing, use the verified OneBeat support process when available and provide only the relevant store/product/transaction reference. For Apple's distinction between consumables and restorable products, see Apple's IAP overview and Apple's restore guidance. For a store refund request, use the applicable Apple or Google purchase-support flow; OneBeat cannot decide the store refund. Apple documents in-app refund requests here and its purchase issue flow at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Never send an App Store receipt, Google Play purchase token, Clerk session token, or RevenueCat webhook payload through an unverified channel. If the app shows a pending or verification state, keep the account signed in and let the server reconciliation finish.
Fair play and rewards
- Use the app for personal, lawful gameplay and do not manipulate scores, runs, accounts or reward callbacks.
- Lives, XP, gems, stars, streaks, hints, retries and cosmetic/reward-track items are in-game features. Unless a product rule expressly says otherwise, they have no cash value and are not transferable.
- Rewarded ads are optional. A reward is granted only after the advertising provider reports an earned reward and the server verifies the transaction. Closing, failing or not receiving an ad does not create a reward.
- OneBeat may cap, reverse or withhold a reward when a provider callback is invalid, duplicated, ineligible or associated with abuse.
- Do not use automation, modified clients, bots, reverse engineering, traffic manipulation or other methods intended to gain an unfair advantage.
Spotify and other third parties
Spotify is a separate service. OneBeat uses Spotify authorization and playback capabilities to play eligible clips; Spotify account access, content availability, Premium requirements, device support and service terms are controlled by Spotify. You must comply with the Spotify privacy policy and Spotify's applicable user/developer terms. OneBeat is not Spotify, is not sponsored by Spotify, and does not receive your Spotify password.
Ads, consent tools, authentication, hosting and app distribution may be supplied by third parties. RevenueCat coordinates the purchase catalog and event delivery, while Apple App Store and Google Play process store transactions. Their terms and privacy notices apply to their services, and OneBeat cannot guarantee a third party's uptime, content, refund decision or policies. See the RevenueCat privacy policy and RevenueCat DPA.
Accounts and prohibited use
Keep account credentials and devices secure. Do not impersonate another person, access another player's account, upload unlawful or infringing content, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, scrape private endpoints, or use OneBeat for commercial redistribution without written permission. OneBeat may suspend or end access where necessary for safety, security, legal compliance or serious abuse, subject to applicable law.
Intellectual property and feedback
OneBeat branding, software, interface and original materials belong to OneBeat or its licensors. Third-party music, artwork, names and marks belong to their respective owners. Do not copy, extract, redistribute or commercially exploit them except as permitted by law and the relevant licence. Feedback may be used to improve the service without creating a payment obligation, subject to applicable law.
Availability and disclaimers
OneBeat is provided on an availability basis suitable for a game. To the extent permitted by applicable law, OneBeat does not promise uninterrupted playback, exact song availability, continuous ad fill, leaderboard accuracy at every instant, immediate purchase delivery or an error-free service. Spotify, network, device, store, RevenueCat and ad provider outages can affect play or purchase reconciliation. Mandatory consumer rights and other non-waivable protections continue to apply.
